The tide clock is calibrated for the east coast of the United States. However, it will work with other bodies of water but will need more frequent re-setting. The base is constructed of brass and the opening port is made from a high quality alloy. Both of them are polished by hand and will stand up to even the harshest of conditions without ever tarnishing or discoloring.The hinged bezel has a bevelled glass lens and screw-down fastener allowing for easy changing of the battery without removing the clock from the bulkhead.
